"Watch Me Create" Felt Ornaments
Hi Everybody! 🙋
Thanks for watching!Don't forget to subscribe to my Youtube channel.
I recently did a live stream of myself making these on Twitch Channel.
They are meant to look like angels. I think they are super cute!
I found this pattern a couple of years ago, and was excited to finally make them.
The full unedited live stream video is here on my Youtube channel.
I managed to edit it down quite a bit for a quick "watch me create" video.
In case you are wondering "What happened to Darth Vader?" I didn't have enough black felt to make him. 😩
Next year! 🙌
Materials:
Wool Felt: The felt I used is 100% Wool Felt and I got it from a small company called Bear Dance Crafts. The colours I used for Yoda are Avocado and Beige Brown. The colours I used for Princess Leia are White, Custard, Black, and Chocolate Brown.
Embroidery Floss: I used matching 100% cotton DMC Embroidery floss in the colours White, Black (310), Cream (712), Coffee Brown (938), Mocha Beige (3862), Medium Green Grey (3052),
Marking Pen: To mark the pattern pieces onto the felt before cutting I used 2 different pens depending on how dark the felt is.
For marking on the dark felt I used a Fons & Porter Mechanical Fabric Pencil, in white. I could have used this pencil for the light felt too. I would have just had to switch the refill to the dark one, but it was easy enough to just use the disappearing ink marking pen I had for that. I'd tell you what kind it is, but it is so old that all the markings are worn off and I think I must have purchased it in Smithers at my much missed fabric store, Fabrications. I really like it though because, well it disappears. 🙌
